Cam Booser earns spot on Rays' 40-man roster with new pitching approach

Cam Booser was signed by the Rays as a non-roster invitee this offseason. After a successful Spring Training, he secured a position on the Rays' 40-man roster but will start the season in Durham. Booser has posted the lowest walk rate of his career and shown improvements with his cutter, increasing its zone rate significantly. The Rays have adjusted his pitch usage, encouraging him to throw the cutter more often early in at-bats, potentially enhancing his effectiveness against hitters.
