Cam Leiter shines in High-A debut for Great Lakes

Cam Leiter struck out seven in 3 1/3 scoreless innings during his High-A debut for Great Lakes on Saturday. The 2025 second-round draft pick out of Florida State allowed two hits and two walks while continuing his first professional season after a strong showing in Class-A. Leiter was promoted after posting a 3.09 ERA and a 36.1-percent strikeout rate in 18 starts for Ontario. In other minor league action, Oklahoma City won 5-1 over Sugar Land, and Tulsa lost 7-6 to Amarillo after a competitive game. Great Lakes is set to face Fort Wayne again on Sunday.
