Cameron Norrie among six Britons eliminated on Wimbledon opening day

Cameron Norrie suffered a first-round upset at Wimbledon, losing to qualifier Michael Zheng in a five-set match. Norrie dropped the match 6-7 (7-9) 6-2 6-7 (2-7) 6-3 7-6 (10-4) after four hours on court. He was the last seeded British player participating after Emma Raducanu's withdrawal before the tournament. In total, six British players lost matches on the first day, including Jack Draper, who withdrew due to injury. Harriet Dart narrowly lost to Jelena Ostapenko, while young wildcard Mika Stojsavljevic was defeated by Belinda Bencic.
