Cameron Young emerges as favorite for PGA Tour Player of the Year

Summary

Cameron Young has been named the clear favorite to win the PGA Tour Player of the Year award. Young's breakout year includes victories at The Players Championship and The Cadillac Championship, alongside a second-place finish at The Open Championship. Despite Scottie Scheffler's consistency and prior successes, he has only secured one win this season at the American Express. Other contenders such as Matt Fitzpatrick and Chris Gotterup have also posted three victories but lack major wins. The postseason will feature key events that could shift the award race, with Young positioned strongly heading into the final stretch.
