Campbell County football defeats Southwestern in Friday home game

FootballCampbell County improved to 2-0 on the season with a 47-14 victory over the Southwestern Warriors in Alexandria on Friday. The Camels established an early lead with two first-quarter touchdowns and maintained control throughout the contest, entering halftime with a 26-7 advantage. Southwestern struggled to finish drives, missing opportunities deep in Campbell County territory during the opening quarter and losing a possession on an interception in the end zone. The Warriors found the end zone twice, including a 41-yard run by Koleson Eichmann and a 30-yard carry by quarterback Tayden Richardson. Despite racking up 269 total yards, Southwestern fell to 0-2 for the season. The team prepares to host Somerset this coming Friday at 7:30 p.m. at the Reservation.
