Canaries rally in ninth falls short against Monarchs, lose 6-4

The Sioux Falls Canaries lost to the Kansas City Monarchs 6-4 on July 12th, in a competitive final game before the All-Star break. Kansas City built a solid lead with four runs in the second inning, including a two-run homer. Grady Mee's two-run homer in the fifth brought the Canaries closer, but they could not complete the comeback. In the ninth, they loaded the bases but managed only two runs. The Canaries are now 26-27 this season and will begin a nine-game homestand on July 15 against Lincoln.
