Canton Eagles maintain undefeated start heading into district opener

The Canton Eagles are off to a 5-0 start for the third consecutive season, preparing for a district matchup against Van on October 9. Head coach Heath Ragle emphasized the need for continuous improvement, recalling previous seasons where early success led to complacency. Seniors Carson Hawkins and Saul Lopez expressed a strong commitment to maximizing their final year with the Eagles, citing the team’s close-knit dynamic built over several years. The team attributes their success to a balanced offensive approach and a tenacious defense, aiming for their first district title since 2005 as they approach a challenging game against a familiar opponent.
