Canucks express interest in Jessica Campbell for coaching role

The Vancouver Canucks are reportedly considering Jessica Campbell for a coaching position. Campbell, who was the first female full-time coach in the NHL, recently became a free agent after her tenure with the Seattle Kraken. Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman suggested early rumors of Campbell being targeted for the Abbotsford Canucks job in the AHL. ESPN's Emily Kaplan noted that several NHL teams are interested in her, but the opportunity to coach in the minors may be an attractive step toward a future NHL head coaching role. Campbell previously had success with the Coachella Valley Firebirds and has international coaching experience as well.
