Capitals draft three prospects on Day 2 of NHL Draft

The Washington Capitals selected three players during Day 2 of the 2026 NHL Draft in Buffalo. They moved up early in the fourth round to select winger Tyus Sparks with the 101st pick, after already picking Finnish center Oliver Suvanto the previous night. Sparks recorded 65 points in his last season in the WHL. The Capitals also chose defenseman Brian McFadden at No. 144, adding depth to their right side on defense. Finally, they selected forward Logan Stuart with the 208th pick, who recently played in the USA's national team development program. All three are expected to contribute to the team's future plans.
