Cardinals name Jacoby Brissett and four others as team captains

The Cardinals announced five team captains for the current season following a player vote held last Thursday. Jacoby Brissett, who serves as the team's starter, joins center Hjalte Froholdt as an offensive captain. Defensive roles were assigned to safety Budda Baker and linebacker Mack Wilson Sr., while long snapper Casey Kreiter represents the special teams unit. This selection marks the fifth consecutive year that Baker has served as a captain. Froholdt and Wilson enter their second season in the leadership role after first being selected last year. Coach Mike LaFleur noted that the captains were chosen based on their communication, accountability, and the standards they set within the locker room. The coach also emphasized that players who were not selected will still contribute to the team's leadership through their performance on the field.
