Cardinals quarterback Carson Beck ruled out for preseason opener vs. Raiders

Arizona Cardinals rookie quarterback Carson Beck will not participate in the preseason Week 1 matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders due to a rib injury sustained during the Hall of Fame game. Beck had a strong performance in the Hall of Fame game, completing 15 of 19 passes for 188 yards and one touchdown. Although the injury is not considered serious, the team is exercising caution. With Beck sidelined, quarterbacks Gardner Minshew and Kedon Slovis are expected to take the field in his absence. Beck may return for the home preseason game against the Dallas Cowboys next week.
