Carl Granderson aims for consistency in Saints' upcoming season
Summary

The New Orleans Saints approach the start of training camp with 96 days remaining until their 2026 season opener against the Detroit Lions on September 13. Defensive end Carl Granderson, now in his eighth year with the team, hopes to enhance his performance following a mixed output in 2025 under new coordinator Brandon Staley. Granderson has shown potential with impressive sack totals, but the Saints require more consistent pass rush from him in the upcoming season, especially with Cameron Jordan's status uncertain. Granderson's cap hit for 2026 stands at nearly $9.5 million, which underscores the need for improved performance.
