Carlos Alcaraz plans return from wrist injury at Cincinnati Open

Carlos Alcaraz has entered the Cincinnati Open, scheduled from August 13-23, as he aims to return from a wrist injury. The world number three last competed in April at the Barcelona Open and has missed both the French Open and Wimbledon. Although he will not participate in the Canadian Open, Alcaraz seeks to prepare for the US Open, where he is the defending champion. He won the Cincinnati Open in 2025 after Jannik Sinner retired from their final due to illness. Sinner, who has won all five Masters 1,000 titles this year, is also set to compete in Montreal.
