Real Madrid striker Carlos Espí has been called up to the Spanish national team by coach Luis de la Fuente. He replaces Ferrán Torres during the FIFA break after scoring five goals for Spain's U21 team. Espí will join Real Madrid defenders Marc Cucurella and Dean Huijsen in the squad. Spain is set to face the Czech Republic in Oviedo tonight, followed by a match against Croatia next Tuesday.
