Carney's Community youth participate in Wimbledon employment program

Thirteen young people from Carney's Community are gaining work experience at the Wimbledon Tennis Championships through the Wimbledon Foundation’s Work at Wimbledon scheme. The charity, based in Wandsworth, uses boxing and mentoring to support at-risk youth in building confidence and discipline. Co-founder George Turner emphasized the life-changing nature of this opportunity, noting that many participants have faced barriers to employment due to backgrounds affected by crime. This initiative aims to provide a stepping stone for these individuals into future job opportunities.
