Carolina Hurricanes staff member Jorge Alves displays Stanley Cup at Stoughton High

Carolina Hurricanes head equipment manager Jorge Alves returned to his alma mater, Stoughton High School, on Thursday to display the Stanley Cup. Alves, a 1997 graduate of the school and former goalie for the Black Knights, spent the day visiting multiple locations across town with the trophy. Hundreds of students and local community members gathered at the school gymnasium to view the cup and take photos. Alves, who joined the Hurricanes staff in 2003, served as head equipment manager during the franchise's 2026 championship season. The visit comes ahead of the organization's official ring and banner-raising ceremony, which is scheduled to take place in Carolina later this month.
