Carolina Panthers face Detroit Lions in Sunday Night Football matchup

The Carolina Panthers host the Detroit Lions in their first Sunday Night Football game in ten years, taking place at home. The Panthers are coming off a loss to the Cleveland Browns, during which they suffered multiple injuries, including a quad issue for Jalen Coker and a torn quad for Jaycee Horn. Both players are expected to miss extended time, which will weaken Carolina's secondary. The Lions have also struggled defensively, especially against the pass, which could open opportunities for the Panthers. Carolina needs to improve its red zone performance to capitalize on scoring opportunities against Detroit's vulnerable defense.
