Carolina Panthers host Chicago Bears for regular season opener in Charlotte

The Carolina Panthers host the Chicago Bears in Charlotte to begin the regular season. This matchup features quarterbacks Bryce Young and Caleb Williams, both of whom were selected first overall in their respective drafts following a trade between the two organizations. Carolina focuses on offensive consistency and establishing a rushing attack early against a Chicago defense that ranked 26th in yards allowed per game last year. Defensively, the Panthers look to address recent struggles covering tight ends by testing their remodeled linebacker group against Colston Loveland. Jonathon Brooks is listed on the injury report for Carolina but is expected to participate. Both teams aim to build upon previous playoff appearances as they begin the new campaign.
