Carolina Panthers sign Jeremiah Moon to practice squad and release Cam Gill

The Carolina Panthers adjusted their edge rotation on Wednesday ahead of the team's regular-season opener this Sunday. The organization signed outside linebacker Jeremiah Moon to the practice squad after he was previously waived at the end of August. Moon, a former Florida standout, has prior NFL experience with the Baltimore Ravens and the Pittsburgh Steelers. He previously spent time on the Carolina practice squad in October of last year and was elevated for one game. To facilitate the move, the team released Cam Gill from the practice squad. The front office continues to refine the roster depth as the team prepares for the upcoming season schedule.
