Carolina Panthers sign running back Ahmani Marshall to practice squad

The Carolina Panthers signed running back Ahmani Marshall to the practice squad on Thursday morning. The second-year player was waived by the Cleveland Browns during the final roster cutdown this past weekend. A Winston-Salem native, Marshall played college football at Wake Forest University and Appalachian State University, where he totaled 1,288 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns over five seasons. He originally entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Browns in 2025 and spent his rookie season on their practice squad. To create a spot for Marshall on the 2026 practice squad, the Panthers released offensive lineman Isaia Glass.
