Carter Sanderson scores hat trick at World Junior Summer Showcase

Carter Sanderson delivered an impressive performance for USA Blue at the 2026 World Junior Summer Showcase against Sweden on Sunday, July 26. He recorded a hat trick, netting three goals, two of which came from in front of the net. The showcase follows a standout performance at the Pittsburgh Penguins development camp earlier this month. Sanderson, a sixth-round pick in the 2025 NHL Draft, previously played for the USHL's Muskegon Lumberjacks and is slated to join the WHL's Calgary Hitmen next season before heading to the University of North Dakota for the 2027-28 season.
