Former Scarlets number eight Carwyn Tuipulotu is not signing with the Dragons despite training with the squad during the pre-season. The 24-year-old played in the second half of the Dragons' 81-12 victory against Hartpury last Saturday in Newport. Defence coach Dale MacLeod stated that the club provided Tuipulotu with game time and fitness work to assist his transition to a new team following his departure from Pau earlier this year. The Gwent-born forward remains a free agent. Meanwhile, the Dragons have signed back-row forward Terrell Peita, who is currently playing in New Zealand for Northland. Peita will join the squad for the second block of fixtures following the conclusion of the Nations Championship.
