Castle, Memorial, and Boonville advance in IHSAA boys golf sectional

Castle boys golf team claimed its first sectional championship in 11 years at Helfrich Golf Course with a total score of 283, the lowest in the Evansville sectional since 2014. Layne Cunningham shot a 69, while freshman Alex Cook led all players with a five-under 66, earning sectional medalist honors. Memorial secured second place with a score of 302, marking their best performance of the season. Grayson Coughlin had a strong outing for the Tigers, finishing with a 68. Boonville also advanced and will join Castle and Memorial in the upcoming Country Oaks Regional on June 11.
