Castleford Tigers secured half-back Ben McNamara on a two-year contract ahead of the 2027 season. The 24-year-old player is currently on loan with the club and has already appeared once in the Super League. McNamara previously played for Hull FC before joining the Leigh Leopards following the 2023 campaign. Director of rugby Chris Chester cited the player's versatility as a key asset, noting his ability to fill positions in the halves and at hooker. During his time with the Leigh Leopards, McNamara recorded four tries in 36 appearances. He is the son of former England coach Steve McNamara.
