CBS Sports names Arvell Reese and Francis Mauigoa to all-rookie team

The New York Giants rookies Arvell Reese and Francis Mauigoa earned spots on the CBS Sports preseason All-Rookie team released ahead of the regular season opener. Reese, selected fifth overall, spent the preseason demonstrating his potential as an off-ball linebacker in Dennard Wilson’s defensive scheme. Despite limited playing time, the Ohio State product recorded an 88.2 defensive grade from Pro Football Focus across two games. Meanwhile, Mauigoa secured the starting right guard position for the team. The former Miami tackle allowed no pressures on 23 pass-blocking snaps during his preseason appearances. The Giants expect both players to contribute to their respective units as the regular season begins this week.
