CBS Sports projects historic statistical output for the Chicago Bears offense

CBS Sports released a 2026 season forecast projecting the Chicago Bears will become the first NFL team to feature a 4,000-yard passer, a 1,000-yard rusher, and three 1,000-yard receivers. The prediction highlights quarterback Caleb Williams alongside running back D'Andre Swift and receivers Rome Odunze, Luther Burden, and tight end Colston Loveland as the core of the offense. Head coach Ben Johnson has publicly stated an intent to surpass the single-season points-per-game record established by the 2013 Denver Broncos. Chicago enters the season with a revised roster following the trade of veteran DJ Moore to the Buffalo Bills. Last year, Williams set a franchise record for passing yards, while Loveland led the team with 713 receiving yards. Swift returns after recording his second career 1,000-yard rushing season.
