CeeDee Lamb and Caleb Downs highlight sun glare at AT&T Stadium

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb and rookie Caleb Downs recently expressed frustration regarding persistent sunlight interference at AT&T Stadium. The venue, which features an east-west orientation, allows afternoon sun to penetrate the end zone glass during fall games, creating visibility issues for players. Lamb noted that the glare previously hindered his performance, specifically citing a missed touchdown opportunity during a 2024 game against the Philadelphia Eagles. While curtains are already installed at the stadium and were utilized during the 2026 FIFA World Cup, team owner Jerry Jones has resisted calls to use them for regular NFL games. To mitigate the impact, Lamb has begun training with a mesh net over his helmet to improve his ball-tracking ability under limited visibility. Other players, including George Pickens, have also reported similar difficulties when competing at the Dallas home field.
