Celia Gery wins stage seven of women's Giro d'Italia

Celia Gery surged to victory in stage seven of the women’s Giro d’Italia, completing the 159km route from Sorbolo Mezzani to Salice Terme in 3 hours, 51 minutes, and 13 seconds. The 20-year-old French cyclist outpaced Dutch rider Lucinda Brand in a final sprint, part of a six-rider breakaway that held off the peloton by eight seconds. Italy's Chantal Pegolo finished third, while British riders Millie Couzens and Josie Nelson placed ninth and tenth, respectively. After the seventh stage, Dutch rider Anna van der Breggen remains the overall leader, maintaining a one-minute advantage over compatriot Demi Vollering. The next stage will take the riders from Rivoli to Sestriere with a summit finish at the Colle delle Finestre.
