Celik agrees to new Roma contract amid transfer interest from Fiorentina, Fenerbahce

Zeki Celik has reportedly agreed to a new contract with Roma after interest from Fiorentina and Fenerbahce. The 29-year-old defender's previous contract expired on June 30, making him a free agent. Though both Fiorentina and Fenerbahce approached him, sources indicate Celik expressed a desire to remain in Rome. The new deal will involve a pay cut as Roma adjusts to new financial parameters. Celik joined Roma from Lille in the summer of 2022 and has made 151 competitive appearances for the club.
