Celtic agree to loan deal for Parma midfielder Oliver Sorensen

Celtic reached an agreement with Parma to sign midfielder Oliver Sorensen on a loan deal that includes an option to purchase the player. The 24-year-old is expected to travel immediately to undergo a medical and finalize his contract before the summer transfer window closes in less than 48 hours. This move follows the club's unsuccessful attempt to acquire Gvidas Gineitis from Torino. Sorensen originally joined Parma from Midtjylland last summer on a five-year contract in a deal reported to be worth €8 million plus bonuses. Throughout the previous Serie A season, he remained a consistent part of the Parma squad, appearing in 34 of the team's 38 league fixtures.
