Celtics face challenges in pursuit of Giannis Antetokounmpo
Summary

The Boston Celtics are engaged in negotiations to acquire Giannis Antetokounmpo from the Milwaukee Bucks ahead of the 2026 NBA Draft. Reports indicate that Antetokounmpo is trending toward the Miami Heat, who have the assets to make a competitive offer. However, Boston's potential package, featuring Jaylen Brown, could sway discussions in their favor. NBA scouts and agents suggest that Miami remains the frontrunner in this trade sweepstakes, expected to conclude shortly. The Celtics' ongoing talks could alter the dynamic before the draft on June 23.
