Celtics sign Dillon Mitchell to two-way contract after draft

The Boston Celtics signed second-round draft pick Dillon Mitchell to a two-way contract on August 5. This follows speculation he might return to college for a fifth year. Mitchell, who played at St. John's, Texas, and Cincinnati, is considered a development project. The Celtics also drafted center Chris Cenac Jr. at pick No. 27 in the first round. Training camp for the Celtics begins in September, with the preseason starting in early October.
