On July 30, 1952, the Boston Celtics signed Kenneth Herman Rollins as a free agent. Rollins, a gold medalist from the 1948 London Olympics and an alumnus of the University of Kentucky, previously played for the Chicago Stags and the Louisville Alumnites before joining the Celtics.
