Celtics trade Jaylen Brown to 76ers for Paul George and draft picks

The Boston Celtics traded Jaylen Brown to the Philadelphia 76ers on July 1. In exchange, the Celtics received Paul George, two first-round picks, and two second-round picks. The move highlights the Celtics' decision to build their future around Jayson Tatum, marking a significant shift in team strategy after Brown's involvement in trade rumors. Reports indicate the organization determined they could not win a championship with both Brown and Tatum together. The specifics of the declining relationship between Brown and the team remain unclear, but this trade signals a new direction for Boston’s roster moving forward.
