Celtics trade Jaylen Brown to 76ers for Paul George and draft picks

The Boston Celtics have traded Jaylen Brown to the Philadelphia 76ers in exchange for Paul George, along with two first-round and two second-round picks. ESPN’s Brian Windhorst reported that the Celtics did not view Brown as their best player last season, despite his notable MVP candidacy. Derrick White, who made First Team All-Defense and finished high in Defensive Player of the Year voting, was seen as having a better season. Following the trade, Celtics insider Brian Robb suggested the team simply wanted to move on from Brown.
