César Montes will not participate with the Mexican National Team during the FIFA dates in September and October. He suffered a glute strain that kept him from training with the group, leading medical staff to exclude him from the squad. Dagoberto Espinoza of Club América is set to replace him. Further, Alan Cervantes is also absent, and Jéremy Márquez is dealing with back tightness. Santiago Giménez is training separately due to a right adductor strain but could return soon.
