Channing Frye expresses concerns about Lakers' new roster construction

Summary

Former NBA champion Channing Frye has raised concerns about the Los Angeles Lakers' new roster. Frye questions if the nine new additions adequately complement star player Luka Doncic. While discussing the team's construction on the 'Road Trippin Show,' Frye predicts the Lakers may only be a fringe playoff team, lacking key defensive components. Frye believes the team struggles to replicate the successful model of the 2024 Dallas Mavericks. Doncic, however, expressed excitement for the upcoming season with his new teammates, which include Walker Kessler, Quentin Grimes, Collin Sexton, and others. The team is looking to improve after a disappointing previous season.
