Chantell Preston praises Caitlin Clark for influence on WNBA and women’s sports

Chantell Preston, co-founder of the San Francisco Signal, recently identified Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark as a transformative figure for the WNBA and the broader sports industry. Since entering the league in 2024, Clark has set rookie records for both total points and assists. Preston noted that Clark has generated significant visibility for professional women's basketball. Beyond her on-court performance, the Indiana Fever player is preparing to release a signature Nike shoe collection later this year, including a series inspired by Taylor Swift. Clark also recently debuted Nike Caitlin 1s featuring Team USA colors as she prepares to join the national squad. The United States women’s basketball team is scheduled to begin competition against China this Friday at the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup.
