Chargers center Tyler Biadasz suffers leg injury during joint practice

Summary

Los Angeles Chargers center Tyler Biadasz sustained a leg injury during a joint practice with the San Francisco 49ers on August 18, 2026. Biadasz, signed this offseason to a three-year, $30 million deal, required a medical cart to leave the field after a defender fell on his knee. Alongside Biadasz, EDGE rusher Kyle Kennard and wide receiver Quentin Johnston also suffered injuries during practice. The Chargers, aiming to bolster their offensive line after a difficult previous season, may need to rely on rookie center Jake Slaughter if Biadasz faces a long recovery. This injury comes as the team grapples with a wave of injuries ahead of the 2026 season.
