Chargers consider coaching changes with Jim Harbaugh on hot seat

The Los Angeles Chargers are facing a difficult 2026 season, currently holding an 0-7 record. Head coach Jim Harbaugh's tenure appears jeopardized amid widespread criticism of the team's performance, particularly on offense under coordinator Mike McDaniel. Despite Harbaugh's previous success in leading the team to two playoff appearances in his first two seasons, reports suggest that a possible firing may lead to the consideration of several candidates, including Mike Tomlin, Kliff Kingsbury, and Nate Scheelhaase, all of whom have coaching experience and ties to winning franchises. The Chargers could decide to retain Harbaugh for another season, potentially seeking a new offensive coordinator instead to revitalize the offensive unit.
