Chargers place offensive lineman Branson Taylor on injured reserve

Summary

The Los Angeles Chargers will place offensive lineman Branson Taylor on injured reserve as the team finalizes its 53-man roster. Taylor sustained an upper-body injury during the team's second preseason game. This move removes him from the active roster for at least the first four games of the regular season. Kayode Awosika is expected to take over the starting left guard position for the team. He will play alongside Jake Slaughter, who is currently stepping into the center position following a knee injury to Tyler Biadasz.
