Chargers sign tight end Hayden Rucci after injuries

The Chargers have signed tight end Hayden Rucci from the Jaguars' practice squad. This move comes after the team placed tight ends David Njoku and Charlie Kolar on injured reserve following injuries sustained during a recent game. Oronde Gadsden is now the only healthy tight end on the roster. Rucci, who went undrafted out of Wisconsin in 2024, has also previously played for the Dolphins, Lions, and 49ers. To accommodate Rucci, the Chargers released wide receiver Gary Jennings.
