Charles Leclerc commits to Ferrari F1 team following contract extension

Charles Leclerc has confirmed his long-term future with Ferrari after signing a multi-year extension. The 28-year-old driver stated that his belief in Team Principal Fred Vasseur served as a primary reason for his decision to remain with the squad. Leclerc joined the Ferrari family in 2019 and continues to target a World Championship with the team. The first half of the 2026 season presented challenges for Leclerc, including two DNFs and a difficult run of results compared to teammate Lewis Hamilton. Despite these setbacks, Leclerc expressed confidence in the team’s current innovation and development trajectory.
