Charlie Sullivan earns Gatorade's top New York track honor

Charlie Sullivan, a recent graduate from Somers High School, has been named Gatorade's New York Boys Track and Field Player of the Year. He excelled in both hammer and weight throwing, finishing second in the men's U20 hammer throw and the high school hammer throw at Nike Outdoor Nationals in Oregon. Sullivan's top hammer throw of 238-3 ranks third in the country this year. He will compete for the University of Wisconsin next year and is preparing for the U20 World Championships in August.
