Charlotte and Winston-Salem record victories as Birmingham falls in minor league team falls

The Charlotte Knights defeated the Gwinnett Stripers 3-1 in 10 innings on September 1. Kyle Teel hit a game-tying home run in the ninth inning before Riley Unroe and Rikuu Nishida drove in the winning runs in the extra frame. The Birmingham Barons lost to the Biloxi Shuckers 8-7 despite two home runs from Colby Shelton and a solo shot by Anthony DePino. Elsewhere, the Winston-Salem Dash secured a 6-3 win against the Rome Emperors following a five-run fifth inning featuring home runs from Rylan Galvan and Kyle Lodise. The Dash continue their postseason push as the Barons remain two games out of a playoff spot with 11 games left in their season.
