The Charlotte Checkers announced the signing of forward Kasper Lundell to a one-year, two-way AHL contract on July 28. The 22-year-old Finnish player joins the team from HIFK in Liiga, where he spent the past three seasons. Lundell, the younger brother of Florida Panthers center Anton Lundell, aims to establish his own career in the Panthers' organization. With a total of 101 games in Liiga, he has recorded 16 goals and 26 points. He has the opportunity to join his brother at the Panthers' training camp.
