Charlotte Knights, Birmingham Barons and Winston-Salem Dash win in minor league action

The Charlotte Knights rallied to defeat the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders 9-8 in 10 innings on August 17. After trailing 8-1, the Knights scored seven unanswered runs to complete the comeback. The Birmingham Barons edged the Chattanooga Lookouts 4-3 in 11 innings, with Ryan Burrowes driving in the winning run. The Winston-Salem Dash secured a 7-4 victory over the Greenville Drive, aided by George Wolkow's two home runs, marking his fifth in five games. Each team continues to compete in their respective divisions as the season progresses.
