Chase Burns leads Cincinnati Reds in series opener against Los Angeles Dodgers

Chase Burns takes the mound for the Cincinnati Reds in the series opener against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Monday night. The team will use a piggyback strategy for the pitching rotation, with lefty Brandon Williamson scheduled to follow Burns. While the exact pitch count for Burns remains unconfirmed, observers expect a limit near 70 pitches depending on game situations. This start provides Williamson another multi-inning opportunity to build his workload following a series of surgeries that sidelined him for significant portions of the last two seasons. The Reds carry momentum into the contest after winning their recent series against the Milwaukee Brewers. First pitch for the Monday night game is scheduled for 9:10 PM ET.
