(Photo by Jeff Bottari/Zuffa LLC) The top two fights are set to go for this weekend, but not everyone at UFC Oklahoma City successfully made weight. On Saturday, former middleweight champion Dricus du Plessis returns to the cage for the first time since dropping his title, taking on former welterweight champion Kamaru Usman in a five-round main event, and on Friday, both men successfully made the middleweight limit, with “DDP” first on the scale, weighing in at 185.5 pounds. Usman, meanwhile, made full use of the one-pound allowance, coming in at 186 pounds. Ain’t nothing to it 💪@DricusDuPlessis weighs in at 185.5lbs! Fan-favorite fighter Chase Hooper missed weight for the first time in his career, coming in at 157.5 pounds for his lightweight bout against Mitch Ramirez. A 13-fight UFC veteran, Hooper began his UFC run at featherweight, but the 26-year-old moved back up to lightweight in 2023. Per the UFC, the bout will take place as a catchweight bout, with Hooper forfeiting 20 percent of his purse. Hooper was not the only fighter to miss weight. In the opening bout of the evening, Ezra Elliott takes on Damien Anderson in a featherweight bout, but Elliott also overshot the scale, coming in at 147.5 pounds. There is no word yet on what fine Elliott will face, or if the bout will be cancelled. Check out UFC Oklahoma City weigh-in results below.
