Chase Kyes, a freshman at Tennessee, qualified for the U.S. Open by finishing tied for fourth at the U.S. Open Final Qualifying event in Georgia on June 8. Kyes shot 5-under-par 67 and 66, totaling 11 under 133. This qualifies him as one of 43 players advancing from 10 sites nationwide. He will participate in the U.S. Open starting June 18 at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club in New York. Kyes joined Jackson Herrington as an amateur in the tournament, alongside Caleb Surratt, who has played professionally since 2024.
